Before the Nazis came to power, the Eldorado Club in Berlin was a famous music club for gay, lesbian and transgender patrons. It was hugely popular with tourists and celebrities as well. Within a month of the Nazi's coming to power in 1933, the club was closed and its patrons arrested.
